5th year photo project

May 3rd, 2007

So here we go…another kid of mine has turned five. That means another year of daily photos, this time for Miss Thang.

I’m proud of myself for getting it organized early and God bless flickr! PJ’s will be done the day she turns six. CT’s is still undone. All the pictures are taken, just not digitally organized.

I seriously slacked on my picture taking last year; my camera seemed to only be invited to high priority events. I’m looking forward to viewing daily life through the lens again.

Dear PJ,
Today you are five. It’s so hard to believe how much bigger, older and more mature you have become just over this past year. You have blossomed. You are finding your stride.

What I love about you is that you know exactly what you want and then you set out to get it, no matter how outlandish it may seem. You, as I said last year, are strong in will and spirit. If you are to get knocked down, it takes a mighty hurricane. This is an attribute that is difficult to parent but I know it will serve you so well some day.

Over the past few months a very tender side of you has emerged. You enjoy caring for things, feeding things, making things grow. You enjoy seeing how your efforts affect things. This new phase is really fun to watch, I wonder to what heights you will take it and how it will mold you as an adult.

You are an amazing little lady. You my darling, keep me on my toes, keep me learning, keep me wondering and keep me watching in amazement.

Happy Birthday PJ.

I love you so,

Mom
